Residents of Europe are exposed to alarmingly high levels of substances hazardous to health, a comprehensive EU review states.
These are high levels of, among other things, bisphenols, PFAS and phthalates. Children and teenagers are worst affected.
– For large parts of the population, the values are above what we know is a risk, says Carl-Gustaf Bornehag, professor of public health sciences.
However, Sweden is one of the countries with the lowest measured levels, for example of phthalates.
