– Lieköhö, this is the forum where I should take fines. What I can say is that this species is not ready for tackling. You can almost ask (Nea) Katajamäki, who is lying in a dark room, whether it (the refereeing) was right, Haapanen commented to Urheilu.

On MTV’s broadcast, Haapanen was even more outspoken.

– It’s a big deal that the third team screwed up their pants on the ice. Maybe someone can find those things out of there, Haapanen shot.

HIFK’s head coach Saara Niemi did not want to comment on the refereeing line of the match.

– Of course, everyone has emotions on the surface when important issues are played. The referees try to do their best, as do the teams. At this point, I’m not going to (draw a lottery) which way it went, Saara Niemi said.

The teams will meet next time on Tuesday.

– The away box is a bit smaller, we need to make small, tactical changes. Tomorrow is a break day and we’ll put on our thinking caps. It is important that the players recover. We got a lot more energy from this, Niemi commented.
