While the massacre was continuing in Palestine, the Middle East was also shaken by the assassination of Hasan Nasrallah. The Israeli army, greedy for blood, killed not only Nasrallah, but almost all of the senior commanders in Hezbollah’s command level within about a week. However, it is claimed that Israel may now even target Nasrallah’s dead body. Taking this claim seriously, Hezbollah also took action.
HIS BODY WAS REMOVED IN ONE PIECE
Nasrallah’s lifeless body was removed from the rubble of the building where he was shot the next day. Sources speaking to Reuters stated that Nasrallah’s body was in one piece. Sources stated that there was no direct wound on Nasrallah’s body and the cause of death was “blunt trauma caused by the violence of the explosion.”
“HE WAS BURIED IN A SECRET PLACE”
However, the concerns did not end after Nasrallah’s murder. A source close to Hezbollah stated that Nasrallah’s body was temporarily buried in a secret location out of concern that he would be targeted by Israel.
CLAIM: “NASRALLAH’S SUCCESS WAS ALSO KILLED”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army made a statement regarding the attack that allegedly targeted Hashim Safiyuddin, the possible successor of the murdered Hezbollah Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah, in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
In the statement, it was stated that an air attack was carried out on a region in Beirut at night. While it was reported that “Hezbollah’s intelligence center was hit” in the attack, no information was given about who was targeted in the bombardment.
US-based news site Axios, in its report based on unnamed Israeli officials, claimed that Hezbollah Executive Council Chairman Hashim Safiyuddin was the target of the night attack in Beirut.
While Hezbollah has not yet determined the person who will replace Nasrallah, Safiyuddin’s name stands out for the General Secretary.
NASRALLAH WAS KILLED IN THE AIR ATTACK
Hasan Nasrallah was killed in Israeli air strikes in the Dahiye District in southern Beirut on September 27.
Hezbollah responds to Israel with rockets and missiles. No major damage was reported in these attacks, which mostly targeted army bases on the Israeli side.
