Hezbollah leader no place in Israel would be safe in

Both Israel and Hezbollah have escalated their threats in recent days.

The leader of the extremist group Hezbollah operating in Lebanon Hassan Nasrallah said today in his televised speech that when war broke out, not a single place in Israel would be spared from the attacks.

The Hezbollah leader also claimed that Israel will use Cypriot airports and infrastructure in the war against Lebanon. According to Nasrallah, Hezbollah would also attack Cyprus if it opened its airport and bases to Israel.

Both Israel and Hezbollah have escalated their threats in recent days.

Israel announced on Tuesday that it has approved operational plans for an attack on Lebanon. On the same day, the Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz threatened Hezbollah with “total war”.

Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have fired at each other in the Lebanese border region almost daily since the Gaza war began. According to sources in the Lebanese Armed Forces, Israel killed a Hezbollah commander in last week’s attack on southern Lebanon.

Cyprus has good relations with both Israel and Lebanon.
