“He’s so damn tired”

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Mathias Bromé is back in the SHL.
Then he looks forward to playing against the mischievous Emil Sylvegård.
– He is so tired…, says the Örebro star in the podcast Släpp Sargen.

Mathias Bromé left Sweden to play in the NHL, but most recently comes from Switzerland and Davos. There, the star could boast the second best scoring average in the entire league, and many thought he would remain there for several years.

The big saw

Bromé had one year left on his contract, but chose to move home to Örebro instead, where he signed a six-year contract(!). Bromé now enters as one of the biggest favorites to win the points league in the SHL, and with expectations on their shoulders. But Bromé is also looking forward to clashing with an old rival again.

In the Släpp Sargen podcast, he gets a straight question about who is the most fun to yell at in the league, and the answer falls, not entirely unexpectedly, on Malmö Redhawk’s Emil Sylvegård, who usually appears as the answer when that type of question is asked.

– Sylvegård is funny… He’s so fucking tired, says Bromé.

“I get so tired…”

Bromé also mentions Luleå’s Brendan Shinnimin as a fun player to argue with on the ice, but above all it is Sylvegård that he has opinions about.

– I have a whole diary about him… He stands on his bloody blue line and dribbles. Like, what’s up with him? I get so tired, he says.

Bromé has played with Sylvegård in Tre Kronor and believes that it is a person he likes, but that there are things that definitely bother him during the matches.

– He’s still damn funny though, I like him. I’ve met him in the national team and he’s funny, but there’s a fire in his skull too. He must stop standing and dribbling on the blue line. Like how old is he? 35? We’ll see when he stops holding on during the warm-up, I did that too when I played in the U10s, he says.
