After James Gunn and Peter Safran revealed the first projects of the new DC universe, the question is what talents be secured for this. While Henry Cavill’s return as Superman has officially been ruled out, another DCEU face could be returning soon: Ben Affleck.
Affleck has appeared as Batman several times in recent years. He made his debut in the crossover film Batman v Superman and his last will be in the multiverse adventure The Flash later this year. Gunn has already indicated that he will in the future want to work with himbut not as an actor.

While Affleck doesn’t return to the screen as Batman, this could be a dream come true for the actor-director. Already in the old DCEU he had tried one own film about the dark knight implement. However, it kept falling apart and eventually made room for The Batman.
