A pioneer of baroque scores, the French conductor and harpsichordist Hervé Niquet – also a radio columnist and a crazy comedian in his spare time – is one of the most eclectic personalities in the musical world. For 35 years at the head of his own ensemble Le Concert Spirituel, he has embarked – as always with humor and seriousness – on The Adventures of Baron Münchhausena kind of imaginary opera around a character almost as whimsical as himself.
The Baron of Munchausen continues its tour under the direction and musical invention of Hervé Niquet this Saturday April 1 and Sunday April 2 at the Opéra Massy and ends its journey through France on May 11 and 12 in Clermont-Ferrand.
