Although Minister Adema understands that people like to get a ‘Bambi feeling’, he thinks that the approximately 250 deer parks in our country should disappear for a long time. He therefore decides that from January 1, 2024, breeding with the deer is no longer allowed. The existing animals may remain until they die, but no new ones may be added. Other ‘children’s farm animals’, such as alpacas, llamas, donkeys, sheep, goats and camels, can still be kept.
