Heres how to teach a child to put on their

As your child grows up, it’s up to him to be independent! To help him put on his shoes like a grown-up without having both feet in the same shoe, here’s how to teach him to position his sneakers right side up.

As they grow, children want to do everything on their own. To help him become independent and depending on his age, you can gradually let him eat alone, with a spoon, then with a fork, encourage him to dress like a grown-up or to choose his outfits before going at school, or even teach him how to put on his shoes. But they still have to be right side up. And this is not so simple, especially since we ourselves have doubts, as parents, about which shoe corresponds to the left foot, and which corresponds to the right foot. So, to differentiate them more easily, this little tip, both fun and practical, will make this learning moment a lot of fun for the little ones, and it’s a safe bet that they won’t make the wrong foot when putting on their sneakers.

To find out if it’s the right shoe or the left shoe, simply choose a sticker of your choice and cut it in half. On Instagram, @nataliia.sahm shared this effective technique, to say the least. She opted for a sticker in the shape of a little fox that she cut lengthwise into two parts. She then glues the left side inside, on the sole of the left shoe and the right side of the animal on the right shoe. Do not hesitate to position the sticker as close as possible to the ankle. Thus, by placing his shoes side by side, the child will immediately be able to see if the fox is correctly reconstituted, in which case, he will have to change direction.

A very useful technique for teaching your child to put on their sneakers or sandals. At the beginning, choose models that are easy to put on, with Velcro straps for example. He will then have the opportunity to learn to tie his shoelaces on his own, but that will be a whole different stage. So here he is, ready to head off to kindergarten on the right foot, proud and cheerful!
