Due to a deterioration in services and punctuality problems at the end of 2022, Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) reimburses users of public transport in the Ile-de-France region. The navigo pass reimbursement platform is open until April 14, 2023. Who can benefit from it?
Users of public transport in the Ile-de-France will be able to partially reimburse their navigo pass due to the degradation of the quality of service, between September and December 2022, specified Ile-de-France Mobilité. Another reimbursement campaign is also aimed at users of RER B and RER Dimpacted by delays in 2022. These two reimbursement offers can also be combined.
In which cases can you get your navigo pass refunded?
On its website, Île-de-France Mobilités specifies the different scenarios that give rise to a right to a reimbursement of the navigo pass:
- when the punctuality of trains and RER has been less than 80% for at least three months during the past year
- in case of long strikes
- in the event of exceptional incidents which have seriously disrupted travel
Reimbursement of the navigo pass for “quality of service”
Between September and December 2022, taking into account the degradation of the quality of service linked “to the difficulties of recruiting drivers and maintenance personnel, but also to the widespread social unrest which has disrupted the service, Valérie Pécresse, President of Île-de-France Mobilités, has decided to reimburse half a month of Navigo pass to Ile-de-France residents who have held at least three monthly Navigo pass payments over the period”specifies IDFM.
What are the conditions for getting a refund for your navigo pass?
In order to be reimbursed, your home, place of work or place of study must be located in Ile-de-France. You must also have a monthly or annual Navigo pass for three months between September and December 2022. Here are the packages eligible for a refund:
- Annual Navigation, including Senior pricing

Consequently, other types of packages or unit tickets do not allow you to be reimbursed.

Navigo reimbursement for punctuality problems (RER B or RER D)
In 2022, five axes, impacted by delays and punctuality problems on the RER B and RER D, give rise to a refund of the navigo pass. Reimbursement varies froma month or half a month depending on your journey (conditions on the links below).
If you are eligible and concerned by these two “quality of service” and “punctuality” navigo pass reimbursement offers for RER B and D, you can then make two separate refund requests. “If your requests are accepted, you will receive two separate transfers“, specifies IDFM.
