Here you can pre-order the new edition with 1TB

Microsoft last night announced the Xbox Series S Black with 1TB for September. The new edition can now be pre-ordered.

The Xbox Series S is the clever little sister of the Series X. The compact console is the cheapest entry into next-gen gaming and, together with the Game Pass, provides almost endless entertainment. The biggest weakness so far has been the small drive. The black edition presented yesterday addresses exactly this problem.

The Series X and Series S were released together on November 10, 2020. While the Series X came with a 1TB SSD, the Series S only shipped 512GB, of which only 364GB was actually available. The new Xbox Series S Black now also offers 1TB, although it can be assumed that 802GB of this can be used.

The advantage is of course obvious: With the larger SSD you can save more games and game data at the same time. This is a real blessing, especially with the Series S, which is designed to be used with the Game Pass. The large selection of the subscription service is particularly worthwhile if you can also download as many games as possible at the same time.

New color but the same elegant design!

In addition to the larger SSD and the new color (carbon black), there are no differences to the original Series S. The console is therefore neither larger nor heavier than before. Incidentally, instead of a white one, there is a matching black wireless controller.

You can now pre-order the Xbox Series S Black directly from Microsoft for €349.99. This means that the new edition is exactly €50 more expensive than the old one. The release date is September 1st, so the console will be released before the sci-fi hit Starfield.
