What was surprising, however, was his choice of clothing. In pictures that spread from the match, the world star is seen wearing AIK’s away match shirt. Next to Ferrell sat his friend wearing AIK’s home match shirt.
The reason for the jersey choice? Anton Johnson, responsible for the area “private market” in AIK hockey says The Express that he was the world star and watched a match at Hovet last season, when AIK met Västerås.
– I think he bought one once he was here, says Anton to the newspaper.
The confusion surrounding the shirt choice
The Swedish connection is also widely known, the actor Will Ferrell is married to Swedish Viveca Paulin with whom he has three children. He has previously appeared several times in a sports context in Sweden. The Swedish national football team received a greeting from the actor during the European Football Championship 2021.
