60 years after Astrid Lindgren’s “Vi på Saltkråkan” premiered, the actors are now reunited.
In the documentary series “Astrid Lindgren’s beloved films”, they go back to where it all took place.

In the two-part documentary series, “Astrid Lindgren’s beloved films”, the story of how the films were made is told. From Astrid Lindgren’s first steps into the film world to the enormous successes. In it, we get to see how the actors in “Vi på Saltkråkan” are reunited, 60 years after the recordings. It was 1964 that “Vi på Saltkråkan” premiered.
On the jetty to Furusund, the actors now meet to take the boat out to the fictitious island of Saltkråkan, the place where the films were shot. We see Kristina Jämtmark who played Stina, Louise Edlind Friberg played Malin, Björn Söderbäck who played Johan, Stephen Lindholm who played Pelle.
– It is not wise how the years go by, observes Louise Edlind Friberg when the actors see each other again.
“Oh, so many memories that come back”
Finally, Bitte Lagström who played Freddy and Lillemor Wodmar who played Teddy join, and this makes Björn Söderbäck remember one of his lines in the role of Johan.
– Teddy and Freddy are girls! he says like the line in the film adaptation.
– Oh, how many memories come back, the lines come up.
When the troupe arrives at Norröra, as the island is actually called, they walk up to the house where the recordings took place.
– Dear old Snickargården, now we are here again, says Louise Edlind Friberg.
