Ukraine now presents more evidence that Russia is using North Korean robots in its offensive war.
At the same time, Britain warns Kim Jong-Un.
– North Korea will pay a high price for its support to Russia, says British Defense Minister Grant Shapps.
On Friday, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy came out and said that for the first time Russia had used North Korean robots in its offensive war, confirming earlier reports from the White House.
Now prosecutors in the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine are presenting evidence that this is the case, Reuters reports.
Fragments of several ballistic missiles have been found in the city, which was shelled on January 2. Several of them were shown to the media on Saturday.
Several differences between the models
According to Dmytro Chubenko, a spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, the North Korean missiles are both visually and technically different from the Russian model.
– The production method is not very modern and it differs in several ways from the Iskander missile that Russia usually uses, he tells Reuters.
The robots found are slightly larger in diameter than the Russian model and several other parts are also different.
– Everything points to this version being provided by North Korea.
Sharpen the warning to North Korea
In the past week, Russia has attacked Kharkiv several times. Two people have been killed and over 60 injured.
The reactions have been strong. On Friday, UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said North Korea will “pay a heavy price” for its support for Russia.
– The world has turned its back on Russia, forcing Putin to the humiliation of enlisting the help of North Korea to continue his illegal invasion, Grant Shapps said in a statement, reports Politico.
