When Riley and Dillion Murphy got married in Hawaii, it became what can be called a lively wedding party, when powerful waves swept over the reception on Hawaii’s largest island, Big Island.
– The tide is always high at 18, but we never thought it would go over the wall, says Dillion.
The waves that washed over the island measured over six meters. No one was injured and the wedding party could continue a little further away.
– Fortunately, the food and the wedding cake survived, says Riley.
According to Hawaii’s weather service, the waves can be linked to climate change.
