The traitors’ plan was to stick together.
But that changes quickly.
As early as day three, they put their votes on each other.
– The trust is at the edge of what happened, notes Marianne Eklöf Törnblom in “The Traitors”.
Four have been named traitors in the second season of “The Traitors”, Marie Serneholt, Kelda Stagg, Thomas Bodström and Marianne Eklöf Törnblom. Although the plan is initially to stay together, it quickly cuts between them.
Already on the first day, suspicions begin to be directed at both Marie Serneholt and Marianne Eklöf Törnblom, something that only escalates as time goes on. During the second vote, Marie is about to be voted out, but manages to stay in the competition in the end. But when she wakes up the next day, she understands that the suspicions against her will remain and that she has a tough day ahead of her – and so it will be.
Marie receives several comments and suspicions directed at her, and during the evening’s voting she becomes the one who receives by far the most votes against her. But this time she also gets votes for her from the other traitors. Both Kelda and Marianne cast their votes for Marie.
“Trust has been dented by what has happened”
For Marianne, they become emotional.
– I did it for tactical reasons because we knew Marie would be voted out.
– It was of course very difficult to vote her out because she was one of us. I know it’s a game, but such situations become very difficult actually, says Marianne in tears.
But it won’t be as emotional for Kelda, who was previously really disappointed with the way her traitorous friends played the game.
Thomas, on the other hand, chooses to allay the suspicions of the faithful against Marianne by casting his vote for her – something that does not contribute to a good atmosphere among the traitors. Kelda describes the mood as “that you can cut it with a knife”.
– You were a bit nasty to me today Thomas. You diluted what they think of me. I’m damn bad at lying and then you can probably get a little back up on that, says Marienne.
– Trust has been dented by what has happened, she continues.
