Here, the teammates are caught saying the most unexpected thing about Rasmus Dahlin – the words in the middle of the match that everyone loves: “It’s sick…”

Rasmus Dahlin’s best quality shocks even his teammates.
When the stars talk about the Swede in the middle of a match, it becomes a total laugh fest.
– It’s absolutely crazy, says Tage Thompson.

It wasn’t directly with low expectations that Rasmus Dahlin was selected first in the NHL draft a few years ago. He became the first Swede since Mats Sundin to be selected first in the prestigious draft, and since then he has become one of Buffalo’s biggest stars.

The wise words of the teammates

Despite the Sabers not having the development many hoped for, with the young and talented team, Dahlin has consistently been one of the team’s key players, and he is a big crowd favorite in Buffalo. Dahlin has made a name for himself as an offensively skilled back who contributes a lot of points, but he has another quality that is valuable to his team.

Already during his debut year in the NHL, Dahlin averaged a full 21 minutes of ice time per game. It has increased every year, and the last two seasons he has averaged well over 25(!) minutes played per game. Those are huge numbers, and the fact is that even his teammates are shocked by his endurance. Recently, star Bowen Byram wore a microphone during a game, and he was caught talking to teammate Tage Thompson mid-game — about Dahlin.

– So… Rasmus never gets out of breath, says Byram in the clip.

“Is absolutely sick”

The conversation between the two Sabers stars took place in the middle of the game, but Tage Thompson still took the time to heap praise on the Swedish star guard.

– He will play for 30 minutes tonight and he won’t even break a sweat. He is in really good shape, says Thompson.

Thompson also revealed how superior Dahlin is to his teammates when it comes to the physical part.

– We did a bike test last summer. Everyone was dying, but when he was done he was completely unaffected. Everyone had to lie down on the ground and catch their breath for like 15 minutes. Everyone has so much pain in their legs and groins. But Rasmus just jumps off the bike and starts walking around. And yes, he had the best results of all, says Thompson.
