Here, the police “Rescue” a woman – in the middle of the highway

On the way to the hospital, a pregnant woman suddenly felt that it was time to give birth – in the middle of the highway.
Fortunately, her husband was quickly caught by a police officer who did not hesitate for a second.
The whole drama was captured by the police body camera.

It all unfolded last Sunday on Highway 60, outside of Plant City, Florida.

When the woman’s water broke, her husband called for an ambulance, but it quickly became clear that it would not arrive in time. Instead, he caught police officer Daniel “Red” Jones, who, for the third time, had to help a woman give birth.

The whole thing is captured on the police’s body camera and in the film you can hear how “Red” Jones begins with a joke.

– Is this your first child? How many do you have?, he asks the woman.

– It’s the sixth, she replies,

– Sixth! Wow! You need a hobby.

The name suggestion after the drama

The woman laughs lightly before the cramp starts, the woman screams – and it’s all over in minutes.

– Look, now we have a baby, says the police cheerfully, before the ambulance arrives and drives the mother and the child to hospital, where it was later checked that they were both fine.

After the drama, “Red” Jones says he was “overjoyed” to be able to help. He is also said to have suggested that the child should be named “Red”, after his hero. However, the parents chose the name Lexela Luis.

“I want to thank the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Department for having great officers who helped us deliver our baby girl on Highway 60,” the father gratefully told WTSP.
