Here, the duo from the Indiana Jones film is reunited – after almost 40 years. Former child star Ke Huy Quan won an unlikely Oscar last night. And was congratulated by Harrison Ford with a long hug. – Mother, I have just won an Oscar, Ke Huy Quan cheered from the stage. You probably recognize the picture on the left. 13-year-old Ke Huy Quan made a big breakthrough in 1984 in the blockbuster “Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Damned”, where he played Harrison Ford’s sidekick in the role of Short Round. The following year he also appeared in the cult film The Goonies – but then the roles stopped coming and his career seemed to be over. One last try As the 50th anniversary approached, Quan decided to give acting one last chance. An incredible stroke of luck, it would turn out. Ke Huy Quan landed a role in “Everything everywhere all at once” – and last night he won an Oscar. – My mother is 84 years old and watches at home. Mom, I just won an Oscar!, said a teary-eyed winner from the stage in Los Angeles. Not only that. In the frenzy, he was reunited with the now 80-year-old Harrison Ford, who had presented an award at the gala. Apparently it was a fond reunion.
