How is it again? Does the French men’s national team play “boring football”?
The national team captain Didier Deschamps was asked that question at a press conference on Monday, by Olof Lundh. The former great player was not entirely satisfied with that.
And with a jocular undertone, he blurted out something.
There is a lot of talk about France and all the quality players who are playing quite boringly. What do you think of that talk?
– Are you Swedish? No no. No you live in France! You are a Frenchman in disguise, Deschamps joked at first.
– If you get bored, you know what? Watch another match! You don’t have to check (us), it’s okay. It’s the European Championship and it’s very difficult for all teams. But we have the ability to make many French men and women happy with our results, especially at a time that is difficult for our country.
– I am sorry if the Swedes get bored of our football. But it doesn’t worry me too much, concluded the national team captain.
France will face Spain on Tuesday evening, in the EC semi-finals.
