Benita Öqvist from Sturefors received an unexpected visit yesterday from a fox that got into her conservatory.
– I was probably a little scared at first, but at the same time fascinated, she says.
Benita Öqvist from Sturefors was sitting yesterday watching the Olympics when she noticed in the periphery how something was moving in the conservatory. At first she thought it was a cat that had snuck in, but was shocked when she saw what it was. A fox stepped around among the sofa cushions.
– I had never seen a fox so close before, she says.
Gave up on the neighbors
The fox, which didn’t seem to care at all about Benita’s attempts to scare it away, stayed for about two minutes before slinking back out into the grounds. And according to Benita, her conservatory was not the only place where the fox had been targeted.
– Neighbors have seen it in the area afterwards. It must have bitten on shoes and other things that were left outside, she says.
Benita was very pleased that after all the fox didn’t stay any longer than it did. From now on, she will make sure that the conservatory door is kept closed.
– The wild can be in the wild, I feel, it doesn’t have to be at home with us, she says.
