On Friday, dramatic footage was captured by the Coast Guard in the northwest US on the Columbia River as a giant wave hit a boat so violently that it capsized.
With the help of a surface rescuer, they managed to hoist up the man who was on board the boat, just before the waves hit the boat.
The man survived and was transported to the Coast Guard base, where he received treatment.
