Frida Karlsson and Maja Dahlqvist also like to invent things together beside the ski tracks.
Like going to Borlänge and surprising an entire company in the best way.
The Swedish national skiing team is fully charging ahead of a new season and a new tough winter in the tracks. A championship-free year awaits our Swedish cross-country skiers, who thus put all their focus on the World Cup and trying to achieve overall victory there.
Frida & Maja back
New for this year is that the “breakout trio” Frida Karlsson, Maja Dahlqvist and Lynn Svahn has returned to the national team again and has been with the entire pre-season so far. Frida and Maja in particular are very good friends and do most things together.

Now they have left boots and skis at home to get to Borlänge and surprise the company SSAB, which has been a sponsor of the ski duo for several years. SSAB has launched its very own classic to get its employees to move more and protect their health in the workplace.
“Very fun initiative”
After competitions in cross-country skiing, long-distance skating, cycling, paddling, Nordic walking and running, 69 employees out of the 133 registered have made it through all stages and during the award ceremony, Karlsson and Dahlqvist appeared to surprise everyone.
“It’s a very fun initiative with SSAB Klassikern, to have your own goal but to do it together with everyone else,” say Frida Karlsson and Maja Dahlqvist in a press release at SSAB.
“Above all, that it is something that goes on all year and not just for a short period”.

After the award ceremony, the next surprise came when Frida Karlsson and Maja Dahlqvist took over the event completely and led a training session with all employees present. During the evening, sustainability was also in focus and the Swedish ski stars pay tribute to the great responsibility that their sponsor takes on every day.
– We really appreciate that SSAB is working on the sustainability issue. Not least because our sport will die out if there is no snow, says Frida in the press release.
