The Swede proudly displays the picture of the meeting with her great hero and greatest inspiration in life.
It was a very tough weekend for the Swedish biathlon Stina Nilsson in the Finnish forests of Kontiolahti. In Sunday’s race, there was great confusion when the 29-year-old was supposed to shoot standing at the rampart and she was completely missing a magazine in the rifle.
Difficult for Stina
She must have lost her shots somehow and had to ask a leader for a new magazine which resulted in her losing a lot of precious seconds. It then became a position far down in the results list as number 34 after the giant miss at the shooting range.
– I stood on the mat for about a minute. No, it was not optimal in a race where I felt I had great momentum, where I was shooting full and just wanted to move forward. It was just a matter of waiting and trying to make as good a series as possible after that, she said after the race according to NRK.
