Here, solar power will supply electricity to industries

Construction of the one park is to begin in the days west of Pukavik between Agerum and Sandbäck and is expected to be completed in August. It measures 10 hectares and will produce 9.5 gigawatt hours. The construction takes place in collaboration with an industrial company with operations in Småland and Halland and which will use the electricity in its production.

The second park, which began construction last year in Mjällby, is in the final phase of construction and should be ready within a month. It is on 16.5 hectares and will produce 18 gigawatt hours. It is being built in collaboration with a wood products company that will use the electricity in its production.

– These are projects that benefit the transition to more sustainable energy. They will contribute to fulfilling Blekinge’s goal of how much electricity should be produced using solar energy, says Carl Victor Passburg, who is a project developer at Svea Solar, which builds, owns and manages the parks.
