Here Postnord wants to stop distributing letters after over

Last week wrote News24 About accommodation on Smedjegårdsvägen in the Partille city Lexby, which can be without postal distribution if it blows too much.

The reason for this is that the community has installed heavy sheet metal doors to protect the area’s mail boxes from doodles, water and other damage. These are at risk of damaging the postmen, Postnord says.

– In to these boxes, there are heavy doors that can blow on our employees in strong winds. It has happened a couple of times, says Andreas GranlundPostNord’s site manager in Partille, to Partille newspaper.

A total of 212 households in Lexby are affected if the postal distribution from Postnord is absent.

This week, Mitt reported that the postal distribution can also be changed in the Stockholm area, more specifically in the attic houses on Byälvsvägen 12-38 in Bagarmossen.

The residents received a letter from Postnord at the beginning of the year that made it clear that they “work continuously to ensure that the postal distribution can be effectively and rationally without the mail carriers at risk of slip or stumbling accidents”.

In the spring, therefore, a solution is required for the postmen to make the mail out to total mailboxes, instead of in the respective housing mailbox.

Otherwise, the residents must pick up their post at Postnord in Årsta instead.

PostNord’s feature upsets the residents who consider the alleged slip risk to be “bullshit”. The houses also have a lift.

To In the middle Postnord confirms that personal injury has occurred in houses with a loft in the past. They do not confirm whether accidents occurred on just Byälvsvägen.

“It is a work environment risk that we have identified and which we must remedy according to the Work Environment Act,” writes Erik FogelströmPostNord’s district manager to the newspaper.
