Robin Hansson’s surveillance camera captured the postman placing his package on the windshield of a car parked next to his house.
But Postnord asked him to contact the company he ordered from.
– They kind of screwed up, says Robin Hansson.
When Robin Hansson from Sundsvall checked his surveillance camera, he was surprised to say the least. The postman rolled down the window and left Robin’s package on a car parked in the street. Soon after, the car drove off with the package.
– It was quite funny, he says.
The package contained pens and Robin never got it back. When Robin contacted Postnord’s customer service, he was asked to contact the company that sent the package.
– They sort of screwed up, and so the company had to file a complaint and send a new package. I don’t know if they received any compensation from Postnord.
Postnord’s answer: A deviation
Postnord believes that the incident is a deviation from their delivery method. When Nyheterna reaches the company, they ask to see the video in order to investigate the case further.
– It is individual actions that go against our way of working. I am sorry that the recipient feels that we do not care. I would like to urge the recipient to contact us again so we can sort this out, says Postnord’s press manager, Anders Porelius.
Not the first case
TV4 Nyheterna has recently been able to show several cases where Postnord employees have handled deliveries in questionable ways. Earlier in December, a seven-year-old’s Christmas present broke after a Postnord employee threw a package away. Shortly afterwards, Nyheterna was able to show how Lotta Hjelmtorp’s glass broke after the postman threw away the package, which was clearly marked as a fragile item.
