Considerably fewer catches of flounder have led to a lack of flounder ahead of this year’s premiere this week. In Luleå, there was a rush for the cans of fermented milk when the shops opened their doors on Monday.
Limited supplies have led to a buying frenzy among surströmming fans. One who wants to be sure to get hold of the delicacy is Birgitta Hurtig, who queued in several places to get hold of the treat.
– It’s worth it, this is really nice, she says to TV4 Nyheterna.
