The over a hundred year old competition has changed little over the years. At the beginning, the race was a full eight kilometers, and on the tray they had a bottle and three glasses.
In their hand, the participants hold a tray with a croissant, a cup of coffee and a glass of water, which they must transport two kilometers through Paris without losing a single crumb or drop. The very fastest managed it in less than a quarter of an hour – even though they weren’t allowed to run.
