The number of charging stations in France is increasing along the roads and several new battery factories are being built. In addition, financial support is given to workshops that convert old petrol cars into electric ones.
Joël Ricoveri, who is the manager of a car workshop, notices an increased interest.
– When we started, we produced one to three electric motors per month. Now we do about ten a month and next year it should be 15 to 20, says Joël Ricoveri.
Giving an old car a new electric life takes three days and the basic price for the new engine and installation is 14,900 euros.
