Many viewers have reacted and been upset with how Lag Nord treated Lars Koefoed in the last immunity fight of the week, when they put him in the competition against his will. An argument from the other participants is that Lars is older and therefore not as sharp in the competitions – something that is mentioned from time to time.
– I was pissed off, really, says Lars now in an interview with TV4.
Later, Lars also becomes one of four from Lag Nord who must duel for their survival against a borderlander each. He ends up in a duel against former Robinson participant Alexander Strandberg, a duel that Lars wins.
– I can’t remember the last time I was so happy. As revenge, I can say, says Lars.
– I was completely freed from nerves, felt no pressure. I don’t know if it’s on the show but I thanked Alex for choosing me. He chose me as the weak one, just like everyone knew about me, he continues.
The other three participants from Lag Nord – Charlotta Hedlund, Fredrik Bolander and Simone Sjöström – all lose their duel and have to leave Robinson.
– I proved that Robinson is not just about one thing and that age doesn’t always mean anything. It was by far my most pleasant experience in Robinson, says Lars.
Lars about the age fixation in Robinson
But Lars has no problem with the age fixation among the other participants and the opinions expressed about him in the program. He states that he is actually older than the others and that he was very different from them, but he also states that he was probably experienced differently in one of the earlier Robinson seasons that he saw on television.
– They are young people and all were extreme Robinson fans. I have no problem with them having opinions about me. Some competitions I did well, others I did worse, and that I was a little older – that was me. Or quite a lot older, most of them could be my children. Everyone was chasing success, celebrity or money, I was there for other reasons, says Lars.
– There are many people who come up to me in town and feel sorry for me, but I have not cared about what was said about me in the program. I feel incredibly secure with who I am, he continues.
