The mild weather will continue on Friday and Saturday.
Then the winter, the storm and the sleet hit.
– Next week you should keep an eye on the weather warnings, says meteorologist Lasse Rydkvist.
The next two days will be mild and pleasant.
But then winter comes in full swing.
– It will be colder on Sunday. Then we get snow flurries that come a little further east in Norrland. Even then, there may be rain mixed with snow in the southern Swedish highlands, says Rydkvist.
The southern Swedish highlands roughly include inner Småland.

“Strong low pressure”
And with the snowstorm it will also be colder in several places. In the mornings, temperatures will drop below zero around the country. But Tuesday and Wednesday will be “highly interesting”, according to Lasse Rydkvist.
– We have low pressure forming stormy weather over the British Isles on Monday and Monday evening. Then it deepens over the North Sea to a strong low pressure, which the forecast looks like now, he says.

First snow in the south
With that, the weather can be stormy in the southern parts of Sweden with wind, rain and snowfall. It will be the southern parts’ first snowstorm of the season.
– The first usually hits us the hardest. Not everyone may have changed to winter tires either. Next week, you should keep an eye on the weather warnings a little extra.

Risk of slush
And during the days, occasional plus degrees are expected. It will be significantly lower temperatures and it will be noticeable, says Lasse Rydkvist. With such low temperatures, there is a lot to be said for the precipitation coming in the form of snow.
Will it be slushy?
– It will probably be, that’s my guess, says Lasse Rydkvist.
He also adds that summer is over throughout the country and that meteorological autumn or winter prevails in Sweden.
