Emmanuel is ready to do anything to win, aware that his defeat would allow Ferigno to take his place. Jasmine tries to pressure the chef to get the secret box back, and when he refuses, threatens to report him to the police. The young woman has a compromising audio recording and he has to give in. If he intends to catch up during the competition, he will have to deal with the determination of the Teyssiers… And a very special event! competitors must reproduce a dish from a photo. The least good cook will be eliminated… And surprise! Emmanuel and Theo get first and second place. Ferigno failed to spot the main ingredient of the dish, the carrot, and finds himself eliminated despite his protests. He has to leave the institute under the boos of the students. Emmanuel will clear Tom, but will not denounce his enemy, to protect his students, members of the circle. Théo is proud of his father.
Still at the institute, Ethan and Samia do not mix well in the kitchen, to the point that Jasmine has to team up with the young woman while her companion works with Ethan. Samia decides to glaze fish with beetroot juice, which earns her the congratulations of Jude. Ethan also congratulates her, but his girlfriend suspects him of not being sincere. In this episode of Here it all begins, Ethan offers Samia a date where they can confide and show each other photos of their childhood, but she resists. The student suggests that they just go for a drink and not bring up any family memories. What secret is Samia hiding about her past?
Finally, in episode 585 of ITC broadcast on January 24 on TF1, Lionel sinks into his lie when chef Landiras offers the one he takes for chef Vaton to lead a Masterclass at the institute. Lionel refuses at first to close his fundraising which earns him a lot, but finally has to resolve to do so even if it is too late and Zacharie is in heaven imagining a future collaboration with the renowned chef. Antoine gets involved and when Lionel explains that Chef Vaton is very busy, he has the idea of asking Teyssier to call him to come visit them. Lionel manages to save time by claiming that with the championships, it’s not the time to disturb Emmanuel, but he will quickly have to find another idea.
