Soon it’s time for the middle final! AI has appointed the rightful winner.
Melodifestivalen 2025 will be decided and we will soon find out which contribution will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest later this spring.
Among the contestants we find a lovely mix of experienced Mello stars who Måns ZelmerlöwThe Klara Hammarström and John Lundvik and new participants such as QuayThe Greczula and Meira Omar.
So far, Måns and Kaj have impressed the most on the Swedish people and are the two contributions that are most likely to take home the profit.
But no one knows for sure how the competition will end. Discussions flow in social media, both between Swedes and Eurovision fans from other countries. Who really deserves to win?
To find out the answer, I have asked AI – the most objective jury of them all.

So the test was done
I submitted every contribution to Google’s Chatrobot Gemini 2.0 Experimental. It is one of the few AI models that can watch and analyze video content-perfect for a test like this.
With the help of some careful “prompting” (read the full prompt at the bottom of the article) I formed the AI into a hard but fair juror.
Gemini had to assess the contributions based on the following criteria, on a scale of 1 to 5:
Each contribution thus received a total amount between 0-25 points.
When chat robots tend to give rather irregular answers, Gemini had to make the assessment ten times for each contribution. Then an average point was calculated for each contribution.
It turned out to be a big difference in points between the contributions – with a clear winner and an even clearer loser.

AI: Worst Contribution in Melodifestivalen 2025
AI does not care what the odds or top charts say: Kajs “just bathing sauna” is the worst contribution of the final.
With an average score of 16.8, the Finnish trio ends up last on Gemini’s list. It thinks the grant is too rogue and simple and gave Kaj low grades for song quality, singing performance and Eurovision potential.
“Some will love it because it is so different and funny, while others will find it too tragic and rogue for Eurovision. It’s a chance,” Gemini writes.
However, Kaj received a higher rating than most in terms of originality.
“This is definitely something unique! It’s not every day you see a song about bathing a sauna on the Melodifestival stage. The combination of the simple melody, the tragic lyrics and the crazy stage show makes it stand out”.
Just before Kaj we find John Lundvik (17.2 points), Erik Segerstedt (18.4 points) and Maja Ivarsson (18.8 points) who were all too generic and boring to have a greater chance in the final, according to Gemini.

AI: Best contribution in Melodifestivalen 2025
Greczula has been one of the big surprises of the year and is at the time of writing the third most likely to win the entire competition. Google’s AI robot agrees-Greczula is the third best this year. With an average score of 20.6, his contribution “Believe Me” takes the first pallet site.
“A power ballad with clear rock influences. It has a strong melody, especially in the chorus, and a dramatic structure. The song is well written and feels like it could be in a musical or a rock opera,” writes Gemini and continues:
“It is not very common with this type of rock ballad in the Melodifestivalen, so it feels fresh. Greczula’s expression and style is also unique, a kind of modern rock with theatrical elements.”
In second place we find Annika Wickihalder (20.8 average points), whose contribution really made an impression on Gemini.
“Annika has a fantastic voice! She sings with incredible empathy, power and feeling. Her voice is made for this kind of song, and she really conveys the message,” the chat robot notes.
But who is really this year’s winner according to AI? Well, the pre -favorite Måns Zelmerlöw. The former Eurovision winner’s contribution “Revolution” took home high points in all criteria besides originality and received an average point of 21.2.
“This is a contribution that absolutely has potential in Eurovision. It is a strong song with a pompous chorus and a memorable stage show. Måns is an experienced artist who knows how to deliver on a big stage,” concludes Gemini.

The entire list – AI ranks Mello Subsiders 2025
Here’s the whole Gemini’s top list:
“Hello, I want you to judge all 12 final contributions in Melodifestivalen 2025 based on five criteria, with ratings on a scale from 1 to 5 where 5 is the best. I will send videos on all contributions and then you have to make the assessment based on what you see in the video. Write what you think – you should be honest and lens, fair but something is good.
Here are the criteria:
Song quality – how good is the song itself? Is the melody strong and memorable? Is the composition interesting and well -structured?
Song performance – how well does the artist sing? Is the song technically good, with the right tone and timing? But also, does the song convey feelings and commitment?
Stage performance – How engaging is the performance visually? Does the choreography work? How are the stage clothes and lighting?
Originality: Does the contribution stand out from the crowd? Does it offer something new and unexpected?
Eurovision potential: How well do you think the grant could succeed in the Eurovision Song Contest? Does the song have a broader international appeal?
Now we drive! “
