The background to the image
The Social Democrats have long campaigned for the region’s hospitals to be underfunded. They see it as a reason for the long care queues.
In their own budget proposal, they invest hundreds of millions extra in healthcare – but without raising taxes, which means that they have to deduct the region’s equity. The blue-green government believes that it is contrary to the Local Government Act.
