With a technology called BodyHeat, a nightclub in Glasgow uses the body heat of its guests to generate new energy.
In several places in the nightclub premises sits the technology that captures the heat from the visitors and is brought via pipes to heat pumps before being stored 200 meters underground, to be reused later.
– The audience really feels that they are contributing. Just by coming to an event, you are part of the venue’s low-carbon solution, says Andrew Fleming-Brown, CEO of the nightclub.
