Nyans describes itself as a party that focuses on the rights of minorities, but the focus is on Muslims.
Among other things, they want to review LVU based on the campaign where parents claim that Swedish authorities are kidnapping Muslim children.
– We want to review the cases where there are requests from the parents if they consider themselves to be unfairly treated, says party leader Mikail Yüksel.
The party also wants to restrict freedom of expression in order to ban Koran burning. According to Mikail Yüksel, Koran burning is not a statement, but he sees it as an action.
– It is directly aimed at Muslims, he says.
Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson (S) has in one interview with Expressen warned the party and described them as “a threat to the open society”. Criticism has also been harsh from other established parties.
– Freedom of speech is the basis of a democratic state. An attack on freedom of expression is by definition an attack on democratic society, says Riksdag member Niels Paarup-Petersen (C).
