A completely new world eleven has been announced and two Swedes take their place in the dream team.
There is a reason we still talk about the 1994 FIFA World Cup and reminisce about that unforgettable championship. For Swedish football, the tournament was absolutely decisive and built a record-breaking interest in football throughout the country.

Sweden really danced and cheered that summer in 1994 when the national team heroes stood for a historic feat by going all the way and salvaging an impressive WC bronze. So many blue-yellow heroes who forever wrote themselves into the history books and straight into the hearts of the Swedish people.

To this day, people still remember the strong images from the bronze medal celebration in Rålambshovsparken when the WC team returned to Swedish soil and were received as national heroes. The 1994 World Cup will forever live on with the Swedes and continue to remind us of what once was when the national team shocked world football.

Brolin noobs
The one who stood out the most and also had the honor of taking a place in the tournament’s world team was Thomas Brolin. But recently a brand new world eleven was announced and then Brolin is completely snubbed, see below.

The goalkeeper hero Thomas Ravelli has shared the new world eleven on Instagram and there we find eleven legendary players. And it is actually two Swedes who take their place in the incredible dream gang, see the picture below.

Ravelli is one and the other is actually Jonas Thern in the midfield. Then there are a lot of brass, when they won the WC gold in 1994, and further icons such as Paolo Maldini, Roberto Baggio, Gheorghe Hagi and Hristo Stoichkov.
“Decent starting line-up,” writes Ravelli along with the picture.
