shows from 2.12. to 10.12. will play the floorball women’s World Championships on their channels.
The Finnish women’s national floorball team for the World Championships to be played in Singapore in December has been selected. The team has 20 players and 10 reserve players.
The head coach Lasse Kurronen according to the player selection process was more difficult than last time.
– The material was really hard, and that made the process difficult. There were so many good players available, Kurronen said in the floorball association’s press release.
– In coaching, we are satisfied with the choices made, and we concluded at the end that when we have to leave out such good players, I guess we have a very good World Cup team, says the head coach.
The team is starred by, for example, Sweden’s top team Thorengruppen I am and Veera Kauppi mixed My Kippilä. The women’s national team made their debut in the final victory against Sweden of the EFT tournament in October, the power 2+2 hit Miisa Turunen mixed Alma Laitila, Milla Nordlund, Emilia Pietiläand Ulla Valtola.
Finland has won women’s World Cup gold twice: in 1999 and 2001. Sweden, the powerhouse of the sport, has won 10 world championships. The women’s world championship has been played 13 times.
