It was in April this year that a 900 square meter wheat field was established in collaboration with Dunkler’s cultural center in Helsingborg. The project was part of the city fair H22 that was held this summer.

The artist Daniel Segerberg is behind the project and on Sunday he invited the citizens of Helsinki to bake their own bread from the wheat he harvested this summer. The bread had to be baked in a clay oven that was created during a workshop, which was also part of the project.

– I have worked in this way for a long period, to invite the audience to participate in the exhibition, says Daniel Segerberg.

When the project is now over, the idea is that the oven will continue to be used and that the remaining wheat will be used for beer and pizza.
