Frida Karlsson has been called “drama queen” in Norway.
Now she hits back at the criticism – with the cleanest video of the year.
Frida Karlsson comes from a brilliant season that included both an overall victory in the Tour de Ski and several medals in the WC. Karlsson became the first Swede since Charlotte Kalla to take home the Tour de Ski, but her success was also marred by ugly pictures.

When Frida Karlsson made her very first Olympics last winter, she collapsed several times after finishing. There were nasty images that unfolded on a near unconscious Frida Karlsson at the finish line, but Karlsson and people close to her have said that it easily happens when she pushes herself to the max, and that it is not dangerous.
But during the Tour de Ski it happened again, and it led to strong reactions in Norway. Experts and thinkers have called Frida Karlsson’s collapse and need for help after the finish as overacting, and that she is a “drama queen”. And of course it has not escaped Karlsson himself. Now she fights back – with a really clever video.

Clean video
On Instagram, Karlsson posts a video in which she, and other people from the Swedish national ski team, celebrate a success by opening a giant champagne bottle. However, Karlsson has some problems getting the bottle up, and uses his thigh to get it up. But when it was opened, Karlsson hurts herself, which means she is forced to lie down, at the same time grimacing badly.
At the same time, Frida Karlsson writes “Tag your biggest drama queen” to the clip, and it can only be interpreted as a pass to anyone who thinks she overplays when she skis. And in the comment field, positive comments about the post are pouring in.

At the same time, Norwegian star Tiril Udnes Weng takes the opportunity to joke about it, as she briefly tags in Frida Karlsson.
