Climate activists cycle around runways at one of Europe’s busiest airports.
Images have been released from Schiphol in the Netherlands on Saturday when around 400 activists from the environmental organization Greenpeace and Extinction Rebellion occupied the airport area where private flights take off and land.
The goal of the campaign was to stop air traffic to remind people of the harmful effects of air traffic on the environment and climate.
More than 200 people were arrested at the scene for, among other things, illegal trespassing and sabotage. All were later released.
