More than one in three workers in Northvolt’s bankrupt battery factory in Skellefteå comes from a country outside the EU.
Behind the manifestation are the trade unions at Northvolt – IF Metall, the Union and Sweden’s Engineers, as well as the association Migrantmen.
They want to see that the three -month rule for overseas employees be abolished, that the salary requirement for overseas labor is removed and that there will be continued battery production in Skellefteå.
