It started with the village cottage in Vikarbyn being renovated, and then some in the village association realized that they did not want the premises to be used only for party nights.
– So a month ago we started the aunt ping pong game, and a lot of people came the first time, about twenty, says Kerstin Arvids, 82 years old from Vikarbyn.
A bit of a Truls effect still
SVT Nyheter Dalarna visits the Tuesday training in the village cottage where 21 happy retired women play to the max and laugh out loud.
– I think there is a bit of a Truls effect that is still there. The most fun is hitting the ball and having fun together, says Rättvik resident Agneta Nyberg Carlsson, 71 years old.
After an hour at the ping-pong tables, it’s time for a coffee break.
– It’s also part of aunt ping pong, to sit down and have coffee together, says Kerstin Arvids.
