Soon the 16th season of the SVT hit Mästarnas mäster will start. This year participates Sebastian Larsson (football), Anja Pärson (alpine), Johanna Ahlm (handball) Joel Lundqvist (ice hockey), Johanna Davidsson (adventurer), Emma Johansson (cycling), TOny Rickardsson (speedway), Jimmy Samuelsson (wrestling) and Anna Wijk (floorball).

Champion of Champions 2024: The Champions Qualifier disappears

The program premieres Sunday, February 4, and viewers will see a lot of changes since last year.

  • In the Master of Masters 2024, all nine participants are in from the start.
  • The “Kvalet” competition is decided in the “Night Duel”. Whoever loses the Night Duel goes out immediately, and there is no longer a “Master Qualifier”.
  • In the Qualifier, the three participants who are last in the table after the week’s competitions compete. The one who comes last in the Qualifier is ready for the Night Duel, and gets to face the one who comes last in the next qualifier.
  • The table is not reset after each episode. Instead, the participants are ranked based on their competition results. Whoever tops the weekly table starts the next episode with ten points, whoever is second in the table starts with nine points and so on.

    • – The champion of champions has always focused on the competitions and the participants’ performances. But with the changes we are now making, the result in each competition is of the greatest importance and gives great effect. There will be more at stake, says Clara Mannheimer, executive producer of the show.

    The champions of champions 2024 is broadcast on SVT1 and on SVT Play on Sundays at 20:00.
