Problems with fraud with receipts have caused several Danish stores to react. There, people have printed their own notes that imitate different types of receipts and then used these in shops to withdraw money.
This has led to several stores taking matters into their own hands and introducing rules. According to Danish TV2, several notices are being put up to inform customers about the new rules.

Danish stores face new payment rules
“Due to low cashier staffing and as a result of increased security measures, no higher amounts than SEK 50 can be paid out in connection with payments or returns of goods. Amounts above this are put on debit cards,” writes a store according to the newspaper.
It is above all fake receipts from mortgages that have been used in the frauds.
– It is unpleasant to have to take such an initiative, but we have heard from many colleagues who have unfortunately been deceived and there are some who have chosen to take that model here, says a shop owner in Klarup to the newspaper.

Pantamera on the mortgage scams: “Requires continuous monitoring”
At Returpack / Pantamera, however, they believe that the problem also exists in Sweden. Thomas KjellkerCEO of Returpack / Pantamera, says that it takes a lot of work to keep track of which receipts are fake.

– Over a long period of time, we have had some cases in Sweden where mortgage fraud has occurred, so this is an area that requires continuous monitoring and development.

Earlier in January, Returpack / Pantamera announced that the deposit will be increased, which indicates that the problem with the receipt fraud is not so extensive that they can lead to rule changes.
