Here are the jobs least likely to be replaced by AI

For those who are thinking about a future career choice, or simply want to change jobs, there is a new factor to take into account. Namely AI.

The think tank Futurion has published in a press release which jobs are dependent on human skills, and which job roles are at risk of being replaced by AI in some way.

– AI is reshaping our jobs and our tasks. Some jobs will disappear in the long term, but all jobs will be changed by the new technology, says Ann-Therese Enarsson, CEO at Futurion according to the press release.

At the top of the list of so-called future-proofed jobs are healthcare professionals. It is motivated by the fact that although AI and machine learning can come to useful aid in the profession, healthcare professionals are required to provide care, make decisions, and communicate with both patients and their families.

Difficult for AI to replace creativity

People who work with something creative need not feel threatened by AI in the near future either. Futurion writes that while AI can generate images and videos, it cannot replace creativity and imagination.

Social workers also possess skills that machines find difficult to copy in the form of empathy, critical thinking and communication skills.

In the case of craftsmen, it can be difficult for machines to learn the right skills and knowledge, while the profession often requires on-site work and different types of problem solving.

Teachers require other qualities

Despite education and learning becoming increasingly digital, the think tank also lists teachers and trainers as a safe profession in the future as machines cannot replace qualities such as guiding, inspiring and supervising people. At the same time, the profession requires emotional intelligence and an ability to adapt.

– The skills of the future are very much about social and creative skills such as taking care of people, the ability to stitch together broad solutions and to come up with original and unusual solutions, says Ann-Therese Enarsson.

In terms of occupations that could be replaced by AI in the future, the think tank lists journalists, accountants, administrators, data analysts and web designers.
