The cost of a grocery bag has gone up and down like a roller coaster lately. In a new survey, it appears that the cost of a box of food is greatly influenced by where in the country you live.

The National Association of Pensioners (PRO) has in its statistical survey reported which grocery stores in the country are the cheapest.
The survey shows that an average grocery bag, which contains 46 items, has a total average price of SEK 1,495.66.
When it comes to which stores have the lowest prices, one region stands out a little extra, especially among the small stores.

When it comes to the larger stores and supermarkets, Södra Älvsborg is once again on the top list.

Here, a grocery bag costs an average of SEK 1,279.70.
2. Ica Kvantum City Sanctuary, Södra Älvsborg
Here, a lunchbox costs an average of SEK 1,304.43.
3. Maxi Ica Supermarket Angered, Gothenburg
Here, a grocery bag costs an average of SEK 1,309.38.
PRO’s price survey has been carried out in 410 small stores and 212 large stores throughout the country.
