Arvika

Here, the Social Democrats (S), the Left Party (V) and the Green Party (MP) have ruled. The preliminary results now point to the Social Democrats (S) losing 2.3 percentage points and thus two mandates.

Eda

In Eda, three of the four parties that currently govern the municipality are backing down – Hela Eda’s list (HEL) is backing down the most with 5.7 percentage points and losing two mandates. The Sweden Democrats (SD) increase by 4.3 percentage points and provisionally take two new mandates.

Philipstad

Both the Social Democrats (S) and the Left Party (V), which currently govern, are losing voters and their respective mandates. The Liberals (L) seem to increase the most, followed by the Sweden Democrats (SD).

Forshaga

The Center Party (C), which today governs together with the Social Democrats (S), loses the most of all parties in the municipal election, 5.6 percentage points and two seats, while the Sweden Democrats (SD) gains three seats.

Dregs

Here, the Social Democrats (S), who governed the municipality themselves, have lost 9.1 percentage points, which corresponds to two mandates. The Moderates (MD) and the Sweden Democrats (SD) increase and get two and one new mandate respectively.

Hagfors

Governing Independent Realists (OR) steps forward further in the municipality and takes another two mandates. Hagfors is the only municipality in Värmland where the Sweden Democrats (SD) lose votes.

Hammarö

Here, there are no major changes in party sympathies or distribution of mandates. The Left Party (V) seems to be losing a mandate to Sans o Balans (SoB).

Karlstad

In Karlstad, there is a shift in power as the Social Democrats (S) increase by 7.5 percentage points and take four new mandates. The Left Party (V), the Green Party (MP), the Center Party (C) and the Liberals (L) all look set to lose their mandate. The Karlstad Life Quality Party (KDL) still has its two mandates.

Wedge

Here, the Sweden Democrats (SD) are increasing the most, followed by the Moderates (M). The Center Party (C) loses 6.9 percentage points and three of its five mandates.

Kristinehamn

The Social Democrats (S) increase by 6.1 percentage points and take three new mandates, while the Center Party (C) loses four mandates.

Munkfors

The Social Democrats (S) and the Center Party (C) decrease, while the Sweden Democrats (SD) increase by seven percentage points.

Storfors

The moderates (M) are increasing greatly. The Sweden Democrats (SD) are also increasing – the most among all Värmland municipalities in the municipal elections. The Social Democrats (S) lose three seats. The Storfors Democrats (StDe), the Green Party (MP) and the Liberals (L) will all be without mandates.

Healthy

The Center Party (C) loses four of its seven mandates, while the Moderates (M) gain four new ones to the nine they now have. Hela Sunne (HS) also loses one of its three mandates.

Säffle

The Center Party (C) and the Health Care Party (SjvV) lose two seats each. The Christian Democrats (KD) increase and get two new mandates.

Thursby

Both the Social Democrats (S) and the Center Party (C) are losing voters, while the Christian Democrats (KD) are gaining.

Yearling

The Christian Democrats (KD) are increasing here. So do the Moderates (M), while the Social Democrats (S) back down.

Region Värmland

In Region Värmland, it looks like the Green Party may leave the regional council. When 91 percent of the votes are counted, the party has 2.6 percent and falls below the three percent barrier. The Green Party has had two mandates in the regional council during the last mandate period and has governed together with the Moderates, the Center Party, the Health Care Party in Värmland, the Christian Democrats and the Liberals.

The election results are still preliminary. Late early votes and foreign votes will be counted during the coming week.
