The Swedish summer has finally arrived and that means it will soon be time for this year’s Victoria Days on Öland. The days are dedicated Crown Princess Victoriawho turns 47 on July 14.
During the event, party-hungry Swedes flock to the island, where everything from sports events and birthday songs to a concert is arranged.

Why is Victoria celebrated during Victoria Days?
News24 has previously written about the annual celebration on Öland. The reason for the festivities is thus the Crown Princess’s birthday, but the day also celebrates Victoria as Sweden’s future queen.
During the evening of July 14, the Victoria Prize will be awarded, but the highlight that many look forward to is the concert organized in honor of Victoria.
